Required Documents to Enter Cuba:
1) Passport has to be valid for at least 6 months after arrival date in Cuba.
2) Insurance: travelers will need to present an insurance policy/certificate valid for their time in Cuba. The insurance plan must include coverage for medical evacuation by air, medical emergencies, and repatriation.
3) Return air ticket.
4) Proof of sufficient funds (bank statement or letter from bank).
5) Hotel Confirmation. This confirmation can be a hotel or private accommodation such as guesthouse (Casa Particular). We are not responsible for situations that may arise from your staying in unlicensed accommodation.
Note: Your duration of stay can be extended for an extra 30 days while you are in Cuba by visiting one of the local Immigration Offices. To do so, you will need to provide your passport, your current visa, a receipt from the house or hotel where you are staying, the credit or debit card that you used to buy your travel insurance, a document to prove you have travel insurance and stamps (or sellos) to pay for the extended visa. You can get these stamps at many local banks.
Traveler must fly into Cuba directly from the USA to be eligible for the Cuban Visa Card.

At this time, tourism is not allowed. However, there are 13 permitted reasons for travel:

Official business of the U.S. Government, foreign governments and certain intergovernmental organizations

Professional research or professional meetings

Educational activities

People-to-people exchanges (for travel related transactions purchased prior to June 5, 2019)

Public performance, clinics, workshops, athletic or other competitions and exhibitions

Support for the Cuban people

Humanitarian projects
-
Activities of private foundations or research or educational institutes

Exportation, importation, or transmission of information or informational materials
-
Travel related to certain authorized export transactions
You can use ANY of the reasons above when asked about your purpose of trip to Cuba.
IMPORTANT: Your passport must have more than 6 months validity remaining after your travel date in order to apply for a visa. It must also contain at least one blank visa page for entry & exit stamps.
Please scan a clear and legible color copy of the information pages of your passport: Passport Scan Example. This must be uploaded, or emailed to us, during the application process. Please do not take a picture of your passport info page- it must be scanned instead.
If your passport has been amended (name changed, validity extended—found in the back pages of your passport) you will also need to scan and upload along with your passport information pages.
