Winter Storm Jonas Impacting East Coast

Delays continue: The Federal Government opened with a three-hour delay- there will be continued delays in application submission and collection. Many Embassies and Consulates remain closed- snow removal has not been uniform throughout the city- processing delays will continue into next week.

Courier services FedEx, UPS, USPS are experiencing delays and have a backlog of deliveries to catch up on. This will remain in effect into next week.

Our Washington D.C. Office is operating and open for normal business.

The Federal Government is closed again today (Passport Agency is closed) as are most Embassies and Consulates. Our Washington, D.C. office is open however the building we occupy is closed- please call and let us know if you intend to visit the office so that we can expect you.

As of 11am EST we have not received packages from FedEx, UPS, or USPS- we are expecting to have partial delivery today. Courier services are way behind schedule- please be patient.

Many roads are still under snow and impassable. The Federal Government is closed today as are most Embassies and Consulates. Our Washington, D.C. office is also closed today. Friday January 22, 2016
The Federal Government will close at noon today in Washington, DC. Passport applications due to be collected today will not be released until next week. Many Embassies and Consulates in DC and NY have also closed. There will be delays in processing times- the extent of which we will carefully monitor and communicate with you as they become known.

Our Washington D.C. Office will close today at 12:30. If you intend to visit the office please confirm by phone that the office is open in case the closing time changes.

Our call center will remain open and operating as usual. Please be patient as we are working with a high volume of requests due to the storm.

There is a strong possibility our Washington D.C. Office will remain closed on Monday as the impending power outages and snow removal may take some time to work through. Please check back with us for updates.

Winter storm Jonas arrived earlier than expected last night. Snow and ice are affecting commuting, delivery by courier services (FedEx, UPS), causing delays and closings of several Embassies and Consulates today. Our Customer Service center remains open for normal business hours. Our staff is hard at work assessing the impact of these closings and any delays in processing your documents. Please be patient as we work through the situation.

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency at 8 a.m. Thursday, an action that authorizes state agencies to assist local governments in responding to the predicted blizzard expected to hit Friday and Saturday.

A large and possibly severe winter storm "Jonas", is expected to affect most of the East Coast of the United States starting Friday, January 22, 2016. The storm is likely to impact our office in Washington DC. We are expecting delays and closures at embassies, consulates and US government agencies which will likely delay visa and passport processing.  We also expect that FedEx, UPS, and other couriers will experience delivery delays. Please check back for updates as the impact of winter storm Jonas becomes clear.
