Brazil ETV Now Open for Application Submission
As of April 10, 2025, U.S. citizens will need a visa to travel to Brazil, regardless of the purpose of travel.
Travelers may still enter Brazil through April 9, 2025 without a visa.

The visa application process at a glance:
- Documents required - a copy of your valid passport and photo.
- Consular fee $81
- Valid for 10 years (Generally- subject to discretion of Brazilian Government)
- Processing time: to be determined. Currently it has fluctuated between two business days and three weeks. Plan accordingly.
- Original Visa Regime Implementation Date : October 1, 2023
- Delayed: January 10, 2024
- Postponed again: April 10, 2024
