Paraguay Visa On Arrival
For those who wish to travel to Paraguay as tourists or on business you must now obtain a visa in person at the Embassy or nearest Consulate in the USA (Consulates located in Los Angeles and New York) or you may obtain a visa on arrival.
It is now mandatory that the applicant appear in person when applying for a visa to enter the Republic of Paraguay. Applying by mail or using a third party visa service is no longer permitted. Applications received by mail or otherwise submitted other than in person by the applicant will be returned.
For those applicants who cannot appear in person, at the Embassy or Consulate you may apply for a visa on arrival provided you are entering the country at the “Silvio Pettirossi” International Airport in Asuncion-Paraguay. A list of citizens who may do so is provided below. You should expect to pay a visa fee of (160.00 US$)
in cash to obtain your visa on arrival.
VISAS ON ARRIVAL
The NON-RESIDENT Visa on Arrival is provided at the "Silvio Pettirossi" International Airport in Asunción, Paraguay. Visas issued on arrival are only valid for the maximum period of ninety (90) days from the date of arrival.
The requirements to obtain the Visa on Arrival are:
1. Valid passport.
2. Payment
IN CASH for the established amount.
Cost: Visa on Arrival are as follows:
Citizens of AUSTRALIA $135.00
Citizens of CANADA $150.00
Citizens of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA $160.00
Citizens of NEW ZELAND $140.00
Citizens of REPUBLIC OF CHINA (TAIWAN) $100.00
Citizens of RUSSIA $160.00
Only citizens of the countries listed above can obtained the Visa on Arrival. Citizens of others countries must apply in person at the nearest Embassy or Consulate.
